FITA Tournament?

FITA is the archery round that is shot at the Olympic games and goes the deepest with its historical roots. ?The MSAA State FITA Tournament features the longest shooting of any MSAA Tournament. ?The longest shot is 90 meters (98.5 yards).

Shooting Distances:

  • Adult men shoot from 90, 70, 50, and 30 meters.
  • Adult women shoot from 70, 60, 50, and 30 meters.
  • Seniors shoot from 60, 50, 40, and 30 meters.
  • Young Adults (15-17) shoot Adult distances.
  • Youth (12-14) shoot from 60, 50, 40, and 30 meters.
  • Cubs (8-11) shoot from 30, 25, 25, and 20 meters.
  • Midgets (7 and under) shoot all their arrows from 15 meters.

The MSAA holds a single day FITA (1/2 FITA) with an optional Olympic Round.? The target is the 122cm face for longer distances and the 80cm for those nearer.

MSAA FITA distances are different from standard FITA distances at the Senior, Youth, Cub, and Midget division levels. The MSAA FITA is not a FITA sanctioned event.

May 25th, Sunday, The Waseca Archery Club will be having a 1/2 Fita and 3D shoot. 5 miles south of Waseca on HWY 13 S. at the outdoor range. 3D starts at 9:00 a.m. and the 1/2 Fita starts at 10:00 a.m.
